FAQs
I've never paddled before, should I be worried?
No need to worry. Paddleboarding is one of the safest water sports around. Beginners can learn in a safe and sheltered environment and we’ll be there with you for encouragement and support.
Do you need to know how to swim?
Yes. It’s important that you’re comfortable in and around the water when paddleboarding. So though you will always have appropriate safety equipment on during our lessons, we still require that all participants know how to swim.
What's Included?
When you book a lesson with us, everything is included – if you’d like to bring your own board then let us know, particularly if you’re a beginner.
What Are Your qualifications?
I’ve been paddleboarding for 15 years and a paddleboard instructor for 13. I also qualified as a SUP Yoga instructor at the same time. I’ve completed multiple SUP instructor courses and currently qualified under Paddles Up (formerly British Canoeing) as a Level 2 SUP instructor. I hold a current water safety and First Aid qualification.
What's the cancellation policy?
Lessons are cancelled if the weather deems them unsafe. This is mainly due to high winds or heavy rain. We will always be in touch proactively if the weather is looking unsuitable but do feel free to get in touch if you have any concerns.
